2. Take a shower and get dressed

This might seem like a simple tip, but it’s crucial to do your morning routine as you would usually do if you were going to the office. You don’t need to dress formally, but the simple act of changing clothes signals your brain that it’s time to work and being overly comfortable will tempt you back into bed or to your couch.

3. Create a Dedicated work space

It’s imperative that you create a dedicated work space that is free from distractions so you can stay in work mode even when you’re at home — and try not to leave your dedicated work space outside working hours or vice versa to keep that separation.

4. Create a routine

Make sure you take breaks at the right time to create space for lunch & breakfast. When working from home it’s easier to carry on working longer than you normally would, so make sure you have a knock-off time and stick to it.

5. To-do List

Set goals. Make a list of things which includes tasks that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound. Having a consistent schedule and being strict about it is really useful for keeping things balanced for both work and play.
